My learning experience with English had started when I was 8 years old, I was put in an intermediate 4th grade class, and was given an ESL teacher who guided me through the transaction of learning a new language. Learning new things was always a fascination to me, English was a new learning experience that I needed to capture in order to communicate with others. My strength in learning is being able to be open minded, and organized. But in the other hand I would like to improve how to further develop my English, or how to change my study habits to benefit me. One think I know about learning is making mistakes, and the mistakes I make are going help me along the path of my learning process. My learning journey is far from over, and there are many things that I would like to be knowledgeable about.
ReplyDeleteI am a kinetic learner. I learn best when it is hands on and interactive. One of my goals is to learn another language. Being bi-lingual is a great asset to have. One of my most memorable learning experiences was learning Italian. As many know learning a new language is a difficult task. Many would think that I would try and learn Spanish first, but learning Spanish wasn't easy for me. I went many years trying to learn Spanish and nothing would ever stick. The most I could say was how old are you? and how many friends do you have? However learning Italian was second nature to me. I learned more Italian in 2 years than I did taking more than 4 years of Spanish. My strengths are math and science. I am a logical person and I like to know the facts. The area of improvement that I can work on is my vocabulary and reading skills. I am not a reader at all. I don't like to read for fun not even if I have to.
ReplyDeleteIn researching this topic, I learned that I am an auditory learner. Perhaps is the reason I dislike online courses so much! My most memorable learning experience was a class in high school that taught me how to balance a checkbook, and read stock info in the newspaper. Although I cannot remember how to read the stock prices, my friends and I still agree,it was the first practical class we ever took. My strength is my desire to excel in every class I take. My weakness, however, is time management. I have been an R.N. for five years. I have an associates degree in nursing, and am close to finishing my bachelors
ReplyDeleteI am also a auditory learner!!! whoop whoop dont worry time management is all disciple and willing to sacrifice you got this.
Delete I would say I learn better if I see how things are done step by step so I could practice repeating the procedures and I learn every time I do it until its perfectly performed. One of my most memorable experiences has been learning to play soccer, soccer is my passion. I started playing soccer when I was 8 years old. I enrolled in a soccer school which had good trainers and every year as I grew I saw the improvement of my techniques. The experience of learning soccer was something that I've always enjoyed and something that I wouldn't change. I consider responsibility my best strength, I always try the best to fulfill all my duties. And I would like to improve in my writing and reading. I know we are not perfect and I think everyday is a learning experience in which we improve our skills and increase our knowledge.
ReplyDeleteThis is deep bro glad to have you in my group. Soccer is one sport I want to try out to build my footwork. I noticed you are a visual learn I will be sure to remember that for our presentations.
DeleteHey ladies and gentlemen I'm sure you all know who I am by now. I enjoy basketball, music since its my escape to the harsh reality which we call "life". At times we struggle without our personal issues even school but I use these hobbies to keep me calm and focus to the tasks ahead of me. I am a little bit of both an auditory and visual learner and would like to improve my study habbits. One of my biggest strengths is I take charge and I use my character to get my teammates and friends involved and comofortable to express themselves.
ReplyDeleteThere is no particular learning style I prefer. There are no learning experiences I consider memorable. My strengths are that I recognize that I have no strengths. Everything about me needs improvement. My name is Andre. I have no learning journey of note. Everything has been pretty unexciting.
ReplyDeleteHello to all my name is Treshawna Cook
ReplyDeleteThe best way for me to learn is to see it done visually as well as doing the activity hands on. Often times after class I go home and find ways to act out and physically practice what I've learned. My most memorable learning experience has been when the teacher is passionate about what he or she does which makes it easier and more excitable for me to learn. Some of my strengths include reading writing and public speaking. I think there is always room for improvement in every area for me because you can never know to much, there is always more to learn
Hello,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Shaquille Williams. I'm a Computer Information Systems(CIS) major with an auditory learning style. Throughout my academic experience I've always found it easier for myself to retain learn amounts of information orally. My most memorable learning experience definitely occurred during middle school. My school would hold something similar to a questionnaire type of game between all the classes in the grade level. Everyone was so passionate and excited about the event whenever it occurred and I enjoyed showing everyone how much I learned during the course. I would like to improve with my attitude towards work I consider standard or rather easy, I tend to belittle the work which results in it not getting done or me not excelling. My interests lie with technology, it's always fast moving and always takes a firm hold on my attention. I'm a PC fanatic and I enjoy problem solving/troubleshooting.
I am a visual/detail oriented learner . I like to see things right in front of me, I also learn from example and repetition. When teachers are explaining a topic I like for them to break it down, give examples, and also to do the process more than once so that I have a better understanding. When I comes to English I am very detail oriented person, I pay particular attention to detail so that I can grasp the full concept. My most memorable learning experience was when I was in high school as a junior and I was in this program called Junior Achievement. This program enabled high school students who are interested in teaching, teach elementary students for a day about the importance of community, money, and the government. This experience was mind blowing because it gave me a glimpse of what my future will look like in a couple of years. Not only will I have my own classroom, but I will be a motivating students to complete their education in order to be apart of the change we fail to see. Some of my strengths are: writing, reading, communication skills, and organizational skills. Areas I would like to improve in are my listening skills and critical thinking. I want to gain a deeper understanding for things that I read in order to connect one concept to another.
